No I mean on 3800's. The guy with the twin engine cutlass has been putting these kits in the 3800 build's he's been doing for some time now.

I have never seen or heard of a "kit" that disables the oil filter bypass.

I would never use one of those on the street.

"Our modified oil necks allow additional filtration of your Oiling system. We Delete and block the stock bypass which opens at low pressures allowing unfiltered oil to go back to the engine. These necks are a great solution to increase engine life."

I like the idea of the larger filter, the bigger the better(don't know what filter they use) and the bigger the filter the less you will be in bypass mode. But(and its a big BUT) if you ever need the bypass to work and its blocked you might as well go out and buy yourself a new engine because the one you have just blew its rods out the side of the block or spun some bearings or fried the cam/lifters or all of the above. Take your pick. The bypass is there to make sure the engine gets oil all of the time, not just when(and what amount) the filter will flow. Blocking the bypass on the street car is not a good thing.

On my drag engine, it held 4 qt. of oil just in the filters + 5 qt. in the 7 qt. pan(ran it 2 qt. low) to cut down on windage in the pan.

I put a PM out to turbocharged400SBC who designed them but haven't heard back from him. I know multiple 3800's that are running this set up in the area, some of which are being raced under extreme conditions and have not heard of any of them having problems at this time.

I don't believe we can run those anyway. The necks won't fit, but the rest of the kit is good for us.

The only reason we can't is because they are out of Newer style H body oil necks.
