This Black 2003 SSEi belonging to crash93ssei looks sleek riding on the black painted cross-lace "winter shoes". Otherwise riding on the factory chrome, this black beauty sports a standard Intense PCM tune, clear corners and a gutted airbox with a K&N drop in filter. Already running a 14.42 in the 1/4 mile, this Bonneville will be even more serious with future plans that include a fender well intake, 3.4 or 3.5 supercharger pulley, Aeroforce Scangauge, and downpipe!
Car Care Tips
Helpful Tips to keep your car problem free during Fall Season
Automotive breakdowns are never convenient, they can be dangerous in cold weather. Here are a few tips for preventive maintenance that may save you from a breakdown.
1. Check Your Coolant: Now would be a good time to check your coolant. Not only checking the fluid level but check for debris floating around. Turn on your car's heater and make sure you have heat. It would be a good time now to flush your coolant system now (if needed) rather than during a cold day in the winter when you find out your heater core is clogged.
2. Check Your Tires: Tires can lose pressure each month and tire pressure will go down more during the colder months. Check your tire pressure each month and fill it to the proper psi rating, which can usually be found on the inside of the driver's door or owner's manual. Be sure to check your spare tire pressure as well, the last thing you'll want is a flat tire, and then find your spare is flat too!
3. Check Steering and Suspension: Over time, steering and suspension parts will require replacement due to wear and tear. If your car is pulling to one side or another, you notice uneven tire wear, hear noises or have vibrations while cornering, these are some signs that you some part(s) may need replacement. Regular checks will ensure you have a safe car to drive.
4. Check Battery and Terminals: Make sure your battery is not beyond it's recommended service life. Clean and tighten battery terminals to ensure that a good connection is made between the battery and starter so your car will start on the cold mornings ahead.
Following these simple guidelines will help ensure your car lives as long as it can. For any questions you have or for more information on this month's car care tip, please feel free to visit the forum and ask.
