Re: Brake dragging/ hanging up
I had the same issue. In my case - turns out the slide pin(s) with the rubber O-ring around it were too tight. The O-ring expanded over time ever so slightly and was not sliding very good. Do not spray brake cleaner on the rubber O-ring. I think that may have been what did it in. Anyhow, replaced ...

Re: service stability system
Mine comes on periodically then goes back off. No drivability issues. Never concerned enough to do anything about it.

Re: Help!!! Water in trunk
I just fixed leak number 3 in my Bonneville (number 2 in the trunk). Leak number one was the right side shock tower. I sprayed undercoating around the spot it comes up through the wheel well. Leak number 2 in the trunk was a big one. I had about 2 inches of water in the spare tire well. Turns out it ...

Re: Coolant
I get the same thing. Sometimes I have a slight coolant smell coming from the front of the car, but it doesn't drip. Whatever it is, it's a small amount and it burns off somewhere on the hot engine. Anyhow, until it gets worse, I will just add a bit every so often to make the indicator go away. I ...

Re: Tire Pressure Monitor Question(s)
The GXP doesn't use either. It relies on the wheel speed sensors to tell the computer how fast the wheels are turning. A tire going flat will spin just a little more than the full ones and set off the DIC low pressure alarm.. Many members including me have went to aftermarket wheels without a ...

Tire Pressure Monitor Question(s)
Do GXP's have the band type or valve stem type?
What if I put new wheels on and don't use the monitors? Will I have to look at a low tire pressure signal constantly?
I was thinking of buying a mounted and balanced tire-wheel combo from the tire rack, but wondering about the monitoring system.

Water in car
OK, water in trunk, check/fixed. Today I found water under the carpet in the front passenger compartment. Not sure yet, but it appears it may be coming through the seam underneath.
Anyone know if this is supposed to be a drain? Because i can pour water on the hole and it comes out below.

Re: Egg in Radiator
My cousin put pepper in his 76 trans am. It worked, but his car smelled like a pot of soup.
