Do GXP's have the band type or valve stem type?
What if I put new wheels on and don't use the monitors? Will I have to look at a low tire pressure signal constantly?
I was thinking of buying a mounted and balanced tire-wheel combo from the tire rack, but wondering about the monitoring system.
Tire Pressure Monitor Question(s)
Re: Tire Pressure Monitor Question(s)
The GXP doesn't use either. It relies on the wheel speed sensors to tell the computer how fast the wheels are turning. A tire going flat will spin just a little more than the full ones and set off the DIC low pressure alarm.. Many members including me have went to aftermarket wheels without a problem.
