I recently replaced the accessory belt tensioner on the 97, and since then it is leaking like a sonovabitch at the heater hose adapter. I'm surprised at the design because it went in really loose, and had a hell of a time pulling it out of the old tensioner. I'm suspecting I should just get a new one, and was wondering where I can find it? I need the part number as I looked online and cant find it listed in the diagrams.

Are you talking about the coolant elbows at the front of the tensioner? The little black plastic ones? Or the actual hoses that connect in to the back of the tensioner?

If you're talking about the little elbows that go into the tensioner, they actually have an aluminum replacement that shouldn't leak like the plastic ones. http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=3887103&cc=1352797

Nope, sounds like he is talking about the heater hose connections by the firewall side of the tensioner bracket.

Did you replace the o-ring on the end of it? That will probably be a JY part or from Andrew. When replacing mine, I just used a new o-ring and a dab of sealant on it.

They always go in sloppy loose in my experience, but they never leak. Have you tried to see if it leaks?

They are sloppy-loose and leak for sure, you can see it streaming down when the engine is running. Even though I had replaced the o-rings on both of them before re-assembly.

And of course after I had posted this, I managed to FINALLY find them:
http://www.tonkinonlineparts.com/showAs ... bly=859856

Part numbers 12570305 and 24504476.

These parts can be had cheaper at gmpartsdirect.com or gmpartseast.com
