About to replace my transmission, is there a step by step on here? (2001 SLE)

I just installed a Magnaflow 24204 Direct Fit Catalytic Converter i purchased off amazon on my 2001 SLE. It was a simple job. The only trouble i ran into was, you need to get a pipe expander and slightly open the exit end of the converter a little. Just giving everone a heads up.

Thought i might ask before i go measuring and checking wheels... does these cars (2001 SLE) set off to one side in the rear? I noticed my left rear tire was in farther than the right side. I have the slanted 5 star factory wheels, not original. maybe some had different offsets? Thanks!

I have a 01 SLE that only on occasion (maybe 1 out of 25 starts) that when i go to the store or something it will start but run rough (actually acts like it flooded maybe) for a few seconds the clears up. Recent tune up, no loss of coolant, no codes... any ideas? Thanks

The other day i opened my trunk and the trunk floor was wet, water was dripping from the trunk lid inside cover. Reflector assembly? Spoiler? Any ideas?

Yes its code p0404 on my handheld scanner, p1404 i believe it converts to when i select GM. it just started coming on and acts like its missing at low rpm, sometimes trys to stall when i first touch the gas, i unplugged the egr connector and it runs fine. any more ideas? Hate to buy egr valve if its ...

Did clean the egr, no signs of build up anywhere. what brand egr valve replacement do you recommend?

I have the egr code on my 2001 SLE, it has 230,000 on it... could the converter cause this? it revs nice dont sound choked up. how can u tell if it clogged? Just wondering before i go and buy an EGR valve... Thanks.

I bet sway bar bolts, my buddys car was doing that. his sway bar bolt was broke.

tune up.... spark plugs (factory gm ones), wires, air filter... just the basics. I do have a code now its for the egr, ....could that cause a surge?

it seems like once i get to 70-80 and i stomp it down it surges or lags, kinda feels like it does better if i lift the throttle a little... already did typical tune up stuff. any ideas?

im losing oil like a quart a month maybe, it dont smoke... dont see any major leaks on top. any ideas underneath i should check?

I'm in the same boat u are, i believe the answer is the sensor. Its the only thing i havent checked yet because i too, am not sure how...lol
