Struts for rear.

:helpsmilie: Hey guy's, need to replace air compressor under trunk of my SSE. Would it be better to find used air comp. or just replace rear struts with gas charged units?- :bhuh: Can you even find used air ride system that came on the 97SSE. Does anyone make struts you can air up yourself?

Re: Running good but not great.

:hail: Hey all, thanks for chiming in. Changed pre-cat 02 sensor but not back one. No cat anymore due to plugging up. Can replace if necessary but car ran just as bad with cat on. Only sensors left to try are knock & cam position. CEL is posting a code for problem with cat only. Please keep chiming ...

Re: Running good but not great.

Hey all, engine got tuned about 15k ago(plugs, wires). Only CEL I have is from no cat anymore. Always run 89 or better fuel. Had new crank sensor installed due to going bad. New MAP, TPS seem to help the most when changed. Seems like it tries to load up with fuel if I start & stop alot when engine ...

Running good but not great.

:bwoohoo: Hey guy's, finally got car running somewhat like it should. Replaced TPS and car likes to do 75mph again. I've noticed a small pop in the exaust when I start engine. Nothing major but seem's like maybe a timing issue. Please chime in if anyone can help. Cant wait to have car back 100%.

Re: Lower voltage from alternator

Hey gonzo. Alternator seem's to be doing better. Run's around 13.4 in day time & 13.7 at night. Used to run 14.3 all the time but I think battery had :bsnicker: issues.

Lower voltage from alternator

:helpsmilie: Replaced the battery in my car with a smaller one that was on sale(625CCA from 800CCA). Alternator used to put out 14v, now it show's about 13.1v. Is this normal for a smaller battery or is it time to look at new alternator? Broke the post on the old battery.

Re: Car still running sluggish

 Tried the spare I have, no change. Unplugged the TPS but tranny quit shifting so plugged back in. Will try spare TPS to see if that helps. When engine was changed out, dealer didn't mess with PCM :bhuh: wonder if maybe they should have.

Car still running sluggish

:helpsmilie: Hey guy's help me get this car fixed. Ever sense replacing engine earlier this year, it has run sluggish above 50mph. Below 50 you cant ask for a better running car. Only CEL it has is from not having cat anymore, but it ran the same way then also. It's been tuned up, ICM changed, new ...

PVC valve.

Does anybody know about a spring on the PVC valve? Changed mine out but found no spring. Instructions stated watch for a spring when removing cover. Got all o-rings inplace and put together but if it needs a spring, I'll have to find one. Thanks.

:hail: Hey Archon thanks for the reply. It sets in front of intake manafold. Rockauto.com shows it listed under Air\Fuel-fuel pressure sensor #5S2066. I'm at work so no picture but if you can go Rockauto.com they have great picture of it for 97 SSE. Thanks
