95 and older Bonnevilles - Cheaper Insurance
So I am currently looking for a convertible for the summer and taking with my insurance agent about it, and it got me reminiscing about my 93 SSEi. We were looking at a 92 car, and she told me that it qualified for Classic insurance since it was more than 20 years old. The insurance was less than ...

Looks great! lots of progress on it. The console looks so much better than the bench. Do you know if the leather door panels from a blazer would work on the front doors?
I have a Factory CD plater out of a 95 or 96 I believe that works if you are interested.

Re: Ugh. Got a BS ticket for speeding in an illinois work zone
Is pacing legal in your state for an accurate measure of 71 MPH? Does the Cops Speedometer have marks for individual miles? Is an error on the ticket for cost legally binding for you? I know several tickets my friends have gotten because the officer messes up plate numbers, or vehicle make and ...

Looks like some great ideas here. can't wait to see the progress.
For Maaco, I would ask them how much to do the whole car, and then how much to do the parts at separate times, or ask them how much to do just the whole car, and see what the differences in price are. It should only tie up one booth ...

Traction control was an option for all models. I've seen many SE's with just TC. The odd ones are the upper models without it.

Forgot yours was a 95. Those should work straight with no change I thought. All 94-03 radios of that style used the same pin outs as far as i am aware.

Re: Steering wheel controls
Yes, it will work for that radio. It's the same wiring plug as the 94-99's in the bonneville. The GP, Sunfire, and Firebird/ta kept the radio longer, through 2003 I believe.

Yeah, if I had space, there would be more.
There was a 71 blazer in the junkyard here. Came in while I was there, and I couldn't buy it. Got some parts, but would have likes more. There is a 68 chevy and a 72 GMC now, but both are rusty. Grabbed a bunch of the good parts though.

Re: My Rides:
Right now I have a 4" lift for it, but am looking to do it differently. It's a block rear, and I'd rather have new springs. Problem is, I have 1 cm of clearance to get it in the garage as is, stock. So that will have to wait for the rest to get done. Since hte brakes are done already, I will be ...

Do you need just the hose, or the entire package? i often see the hoses lying in the backs of cars and vans, but not usually the whole thing

Nice pickup on this one. Depending on where you priced it, i would have considered it with the mileage. Looks to be in relatively good shape, and knowing your work, it'll be a good buy.

Re: 95 Ei to 97 Ei exchange.
It should work. GM didn't change the pins in the radio, even back further than 94 for the main wires. The steering wheel control portion was different pre-94, but I believe that was it. I know I ran 94-99 radios in my 93 without issues.

Stopping back in again
Well, was an active member and one of the original members of this place. Life got busy for the last while, so i kinda dropped off, but figured i would stop by. No longer own a bonneville, and am cleaning my garage out, so i figured I'd see if anyone wanted some parts before I scrapped them.
