95 and older Bonnevilles - Cheaper Insurance

Post by JimmyFloyd »

So I am currently looking for a convertible for the summer and taking with my insurance agent about it, and it got me reminiscing about my 93 SSEi. We were looking at a 92 car, and she told me that it qualified for Classic insurance since it was more than 20 years old. The insurance was less than half of what it would have been normally to insure, which was a huge savings. It made me want to get another 93 SSEi. There are some limitations to it:

- Must have a newer car as a primary Driver.
- Must be driven less than 5000 miles a year.
- Must reside in a personal or rented locked garage
- Must be used for shows, cruises, and occasional driving to work.

But for those who do use their bonnevilles as summer cars, this might be good. 1995 will qualify at the first of the year.

For insurance though, it's collision, actual value, not book value, and some insurance for parts too.

Hope this might help someone.

I forgot that S1 SSEis are getting to be that age... That's both awesome and sad. Hahaha!

I'm getting old.

I saw your comment in the AL7 thread and I realized I had not seen the name in quite a while! Good to see you back around buddy.

Really sad (to me) that if I were a car I'd qualify as a "classic", lol. I know some around here that would qualify as "Pioneer" in MN, lol.
Bye Bye:
