Re: sounds like wheel bearing noise, but not

I did swap types front to back, no change. guess I'll try left to right and/or use the spare just to see. this niggling issue
have become quite an annoyance.

Re: sounds like wheel bearing noise, but not

I had noise and replaced right lower bj cause the right bearing was ~1 year old, still noise with less than 100 miles so i replaced the right bearing again, still noise, swapped types, still noise. turn left, more noise. Turn right, less noise. With

Re: sounds like wheel bearing noise, but not

I got that backwards. The noise is in the right side, thus left turn loads the bearing making less noise.
Could it be a transaxle or axle?

Re: sounds like wheel bearing noise, but not

. the wheel didn't wobble when moved Side from either 9 & 3 o'clock (bearing)or 12 & 6 o'clock (bj) when in the air. the sound is like a prop plane and varies with speed. today someone suggested its the left bearing which doesn't make sense. could it be an axle or transacted Bearing?

97Ssei a/c leak

Hi,

My a/c seems to be leaking. I have put the green tracing 134a a couple times and had different people look at it. nobody can see leaks. the recharge cans last a few days to two weeks. This leads believe the leak is under the dash, a job i understand is 10 hours in the flat rate book, least to r ...

97 wont start, part two

hi,

(for a history of this issue, see my previous post)

Jump Start Fuel Pump

the last thing i am going to try before towing my 97 ssei to the chevy dealer, is to put battery power, 12v, directly to the fuel pump, (one year old), to see if it runs. it appears the pink wire on connector 416 is the ...

Re: 97 ssei: sudden no start condition

I have a bit of info that you may find helpful. On my 1994 SE there is a device that further deters theft. If the car OEM Anti-Theft systems is triggered it will cut off the injectors.

---i think on mine, it cuts the signal to the pcm/fp.

There is a chip you can find on Ebay etc that overrevs ...

did that, first thing

check some connectors for voltage and open circuits ( highly unlikely)
replace wiper/washer switch ( easy to do, you could use a jy or parts store to get one)

any in particular? is this something ...

Re: brakleen on silver honey combs

Winter rims will end up looking terrible a week after they are clean anyways from all the snow/dirt/salt on the roads, so I really wouldn't spend a lot of time on them.

good point

I guess worst comes to worst, you could always repaint them. Dupli-Color makes a very nice wheel paint that many ...

think about 97 ssei mod's

hi,

i am thinking about mod's on my 97 ssei which has 85k on it.
simple things i have done when i got it last year are complete tune-up, fluid changes, 180 thermo and a fwi.

i do not think i want to get into internals like a cam, so what is a logical progression of options?

my thoughts include a ...
