hi,

is there a particular range of vin's for the 40th anniversary edition?
if you have one, what are the last 8 digits, (i will post mine when it is back home this evening.

No, it was an option for all 97's. They didn't make them all in one run, they were spread out through the entire line, the entire year.

you have the rpo code of "Y40", which constitutes the C-pillar badge and floormats

Right, it was just an option, nothing more. It's not a special production or anything. It's just another option that adds two badges and some nice floor mats in celebration of the Bonneville's 40th year of production.

There is a 97 SLE 40th at the local salvage yard by me with FE2 and CCR, no L67.

Technically, but there were 97's that had a 40th Anniversary package that included badging and embroidered floor mats. No such thing on 92's.
