Do not. It won't be strong enough. You won't really be able to see it anyway. Just repaint the bolts/studs/nuts with the satin black when you do the manifolds, they won't rust and they'll hide in there nicely.

I (already) got the ARP Header bolts from Intense (shipped this afternoon), I would think they will work with the manifolds too? I know ARP is the premiere source for all automotive fasteners.

What about for the LIM?

LIM has the same problem. You have two materials with totally different rates of thermal expansion. Aluminum and cast iron. Use OEM fasteners or similar only. Never stainless.

k brah.

Skip the front ported mani, ask me. Keep the primaries D shaped, not O shaped. Nickel on the backside, but then again just wasting your time.

The D shape port is important for the cylinder head, not the manifolds. The manifolds being D-shaped actually negate some of the benefit of the D-shaped exhaust port on the head. The idea is the return wave coming back against the gas flow is partially dissipated by the D shaped head port. If the manifold is also d-shaped, it allows that wave to re-enter the head and combustion chamber, which hurts performance.

This is why the rear manifold isn't D-shaped, nor is any set of headers. The front is D-shaped to simplify the casting/fit. This makes it a poor design for performance, especially when you take into account that it's restricted when compared to the flow of the rear manifold. This is even worse because of the distance the gasses have to travel to the downpipe compared to the rear flow distance.

The collector is more restrictive than the primaries. You want the D shape so flow faster on the upper edge to force air threw collector.

Another step closer; went to Home Depot and got the sprayer for the ceramic paint and a right angle die-grinder for the Gasket/surface cleanup (straight die-grinder will be used for actual porting).

Not precisely sure when I will get to doing this, but everyone will be kept

Indeed it is. Keys were in my hand with the bag, popped the trunk and didn't unlock it, keys ended up in the bag, slammed the trunk before I realized what I had done. Spent 45 minutes waiting for the tow truck driver to show up and spend 10 seconds unlocking it...

If only I lived closer, could utilize the *not supposed to have* in my *secret location*...Oh well. Thank god for AAA huh?
