I have a 2004 bonneville se and I would like to swap out the instrument cluster out of a 2002 bonneville ssei as it has the compass feature, the controls I have now say E/M trip reset, tire pressure reset . I have the cluster from the 2002 ssei and the contol switche it says E/M trip reset, mode, select, reset, I noticed that I have all the wires in the connector to the mode switch except for 2 wires does anyone know where exactly these two wires go, to the cluster assembly or the bcm ? Any help would be appreciated I have tried the cluster and mode switch to see if it worked at all and everything except calibrating the compass worked and when I press the mode button nothing happens, but when doors are open or the trunk it shows on the display fine

There are other differences as well, there is a compass module that is in the trunk for that feature, and with that the harness for the upper trunk deck is different to include the compass module. As you already noted, the dash harness is also different. As for the two wires and exactly where they go, I am not so sure. I added in the compass feature and full driver information center gauges in my '02 SE from an '04 SLE but I also swapped the entire body harness and used a dash harness from an '05 GXP to add the HUD as well.
