I have been noticing a beautiful Bonneville GXP at a dealership locally. Drive by it everyday on the way to work. I stopped by a month ago to look at it, and it is rough. Was traded in, barely driving. The dealership fixed a coil and it runs and drives okay now. They only want $2250 for it, it has 131k miles. The exterior is trashed. Front bumper is trashed. Airbag deployed, so there is a hole in the steering wheel. Passenger side needs both doors replaced, and has damaged plastic grond effects. Whoever owned it beat it bad. Interior is a bit rough. Needs a good cleaning and headliner. The rims are in pretty rough shape.
Even with all that said, I really like the car, and would be interested in fixing it up and driving it as a second car. If the car checks out mechanically, I might buy it tomorrow.
My question is, where can I find the ground effects, front bumper, GXP headlights, etc. I have found next to nothing for replacement parts for Bonneville GXP's. They are fairly rare and most parts seem to be discontinued.
Should I buy this car, or run as fast as I can?
