Drivers rear door inoperative
So the drivers rear door has two issues:
1.the window will not go up or down
2.the electric lock will not work (manual works fine)
so after some research it looks like there may be a door module that
needs to be replaced?is it possible that its a wire issue?or could i
just be unlucky and both the motor as well as the door lock actuator
went bad.

Re: Drivers rear door inoperative
Did you check the driver's window lock-out switch? That would prevent the window from working for the passenger but it would work from the driver's controls. For the lock is the child lock override engaged? That too would prevent the passenger from electronically unlocking the door

hi, I would remove door panel and check for power and loose/fried connections.

Re: Drivers rear door inoperative
There have been several incidents of the main 12V supply wire breaking in the rubber boot between the door and body. It will be the only heavy gauge orange wire in the bundle. The insulation may or may not broken but since it is such a heavy wire, bending in such a confined area it is prone to breaking over time. I would probably start there.

Re: Drivers rear door inoperative
I'll have both of the rear doors simultaneously stop responding to input from the driver's controls and the keyless entry fob. It comes and goes. I suspect that it has something to do with past water leaks, not sure.

Re: Drivers rear door inoperative
In your case, I would start by looking for corrosion at a splice under the driver's seat. Look here under the Interior -> Passenger front and both rear door windows & locks don't work...Arrowhead wrote:I'll have both of the rear doors simultaneously stop responding to input from the driver's controls and the keyless entry fob. This doesn't necessarily have to involve all three doors, but can. It depends on the extent of the corrosion.
