Cigar lighter question

Post by Solid_speed »

Do these cars not have a cigar lighter that supplies current to things plugged into it even with the car off? I can't charge my phone in the car for more than 5 min with the car turned off with the ignition off. If not, is there a way to make it so that it's always on?

Both cigarette lighters have switchable fuses in the underhood fusebox. Depending on how the fuse is installed, it can either be ACC or ALL-time power.

I thought that was pretty cool when I found it out too. If you don't have an owners manual, you should try to find one. I have seen a few in glove boxes at salvage yards. Setting different driver settings, and all the options on the DIC are pretty impressive. There's a lot of "tricks" to these cars like this one with the fuse location for the cigar lighters that I would not have known without that owners manual.
Pretty cool cars!

I was joking with Andrew because that's the custom decal he made for my car. If you look really close, you'll see the heated washer system fuse which of course only one Bonneville has in that fuse bloxk ;)
