How many miles do u have on your cars?

Post by Bonneville_ssei_00 »

Just wondering how many miles you guys have on your cars? I have over 220,000 miles on the original engine and tranny. I have some miner problems but still running strong.

Mine is still young, with roughly 133,xxx on it. There are some people around here that have hit some huge landmarks with their cars.

Just sold my 00 SSEi at 204k, original engine I believe, had trans done at 160k or so.

Some folks on here have broken the 300,000 mile club.

It would seem like most folks have the transmission starting to fail around 150k-180k, give or take. Pretty common to see 200k on the original motor, assuming it has had regular oil changes, coolant flushes, etc. If I still owned a SSEi with over 200k on the original trans, I'd have a transmission piggy bank going, just sayin. These engines are up the with a lot of diesel engines in regards to longevity.

222,XXX in the bonne, no engine or tranny work beyond basic maintenance and lim gaskets. The truck is creeping up on 250,000 on the original engine...3rd transmission though, stupid 700r4.

The fiero is right at 200,000 from what I understand the engine has been replaced, which makes sense because is has the wrong style oil filter for an 88

208k on the i30 which had 175ish when I bought it. 3rd engine, 3rd trans. VQ30DE, VQ35DE with VQ30DE timing, VQ35DE with VQ35HR style heads/cams and VQ30DE timing. 98 auto, 98 VLSD manual, 01 VLSD manual.

A few of those swaps weren't 100% necessary though.

180xxx, I have had it for 5 years and 30k miles, and beat on it mercilessly almost every day. I haven't done any Engine/trans, and I have no reason to believe anyone else has. Just talking nickel and dime stuff you would expect of a car this age. I can tell it's getting wore out, but it just keeps coming back for more.

250,000 on the SSEi, third transmission, original engine with the only internal work ever done was replacing the intake gaskets.
250,000 on the SE, no idea on the history but I believe either second or third transmission, no clue on the engine but that is smoked and now awaiting an L67 swap.
