Yup. The wires are a matter of inches long. But they are wires nonetheless. (Mine just happen to BS the 10.4mm variant.)

Well, I knew tonight's snow was coming, so I cleaned it up one last time before the weather turned crappy and got some pics. It's now got 245/40R19 Blizzak LM-60 tires and weathertech mats. Should be good to go for the snow! Along with a snow brush, shovel, etc...

Ought to grip some snow!

Since buying the car, I've done:
Plugs
Door and Front Center Channel Speakers (Pioneer, huge upgrade)
Swapped Snows on
Polish and Detail
Tinted Reflectors and Blinker/Reverse lights in tails
Crank got replaced (Thread in General Chat)
WeatherTech mats

Lots more planned for the future, especially when spring rolls around. Stay tuned!

Haven't done any looking yet. The WT's basically are designed to sit over them, but don't lock into them, so they're not really critical ATM. I will get some sooner rather than later, though.

I hate my WeatherTech mats, but there aren't really any other options for all-weather mats for the G8. Because they sit on the pegs and have no locking mechanism, they have a very hard time staying in place, front or rear. I've been meaning to add some stick-on velcro to help them stay. If I had the choice, I would have gone with Husky mats. I bought them for Liz's Fusion and they have (sharp!) spikes on the bottom, for 2/3 the cost.

Also, good call on the Bridgestones. I have a set of WS-70's in 235/55/17, scored a brand new, never mounted set for half price of new; some guy had them lying around because he bought a new car. We'll see how they handle their first real winter!

Yeah, I got the WT's off a local guy who sold his G8, $75 for all 4. Moving hasn't been an issue for me, but my feet sit more at the front of the mat always, so it might be some of that. I've also had them on since Saturday, so I haven't had much time with them.

Bridgestones came with the car. I was afraid they were going to be a little less grippy, but in doing the research, "performance winter" tires were designed for Europe and driving on the Autobahn as well as on snow covered back roads, I think they'll be just fine. I was gonna swap wheels on the General's I had on the Bonne, and run those, but these aren't really that hot of a seller, so I figured since my stock wheels weren't perfect, I'd throw these on and find something for the spring. And that's exactly what I did!

Also, start looking for Pontiac center caps.

Looking good, Ed! Those are some nice sharp pics!!

I need to get some kind of bigger mats for mine. Was looking at WT's. Right now I have some basic black Advance mats that I got for free. But, mat's are on the bottom of my list. Headers and cats, *summer surprise*, plugs & wires, catch can, tires and brakes, speakers (maybe sub too), reflector tint, unlocking the video in motion (and adding rear input) and adding a car computer, then floor mats. Long list, so it'll be awhile before I get mats, but at least I see how they fit.

Those Camaro rims are going to look amazing! I really do like how they look and fit the G8. Ed, are you going to be keeping your stock 19's for winter tires? If not, let me know, as I'm looking for a spare set.

Yep, the wheels are going to be as they are now, with the winters on them. These are somewhat beat, one of the front ones has a chip in the bead, and lots of scuffs and stuff.

I can't really afford buying an extra set right now, but I am on the hunt as I want to get one set of them PVD'd, because chrome!

Nice buy. 245/35/20?

The driver's mat is the most stable one, but I do have to readjust it periodically. All the others move around and deform. After dropping $200 all around, I shouldn't have to ask passengers to tread lightly on "heavy duty all-weather" mats.

So, washed and waxed it over Easter, snapped a few pics (yes in my yard), gathering darkness limited my range. Better pictures will come when it gets a better detail. I just know my Porter Cable won't get out the swirls and imperfections that are there now, and I don't have the cash for anything else....

Anyways, pics. These are a day or two before I got my new plates, I'll have to grab an actual picture of them. I only snapchatted them, lol.

Still looks great! Get those Camaro wheels on! :)

You Porter Cable will definitely remove 90% of the swirls etc. in your paint, just have to have the right pads and polishes. It will take longer with the PC then some other tools, but we are talking maybe two hours longer if that, not days.
