Bonneville Storage Tips

Post by BonnevilleSE2000 »

Hello everyone! I need some advice for storing my 2000 SE. It will not be driven from June 19th to August 1st. It will be stored in a shed with a car cover. I will store her with a full tank of gas and disconnect the battery. Anything else? Thank you!

For that period of time, no. If you were storing it for a year plus yes, but a month and a half, you'll be fine.

Okay. Is it even worth disconnecting the battery?

I'd put a trickle charger on it

I'd debate taking the battery out and putting in the house depending on the climate (if it will be super hot or not) along with a trickle charger/maintainer. I would add Sta-Bil to the gas just to be on the safe side (never hurts and it's cheap).

Only thing I would worry about is the battery for that little bit of time. Either disconnect it or throw a trickle charger on it.
