M62 By-Pass elbow

Post by Squilliam »

So I've been searching and searching and cant seem to find anything on it. Called my GM dealer and they cant find it either. The 45 degree by pass elbow I have is way past its expiration date and is currently held together with electrical tape and red RTV. I would love to source either a new one or a good used one. I tried Using standard vac line, but the space and angle it bends makes it kink so there's a noticeable restriction on it. Thanks ahead of time for the help!

If its anything like the ones on my m90s, silicone tubing is better at bending without linking and should do the trick.

I agree, but if you can't find silicone to your liking, they sell generic vacuum 'T' and elbow fittings at most parts stores and you can use generic rubber vacuum hose for the straighter sections. I've also used painted steel brake and fuel lines and used clamped rubber hose on the ends, but they aren't good for super tight turns (done right they look good though).
