I'm going to put my car back on the road after a 12 month sit w/o a battery in the driveway. I'm getting a number of regular things done before cranking her over plus a few upgrades:
Regular stuff
oil change,
new K&N 9" cone filter (trust me its due)
tranny oil change? -- (and filter ? -- had filter replaced about 30,000 Kms ago)?
fluid top ups, new plugs maybe, etc
Uncommon stuff:
I have new ZZP 3" down-pipe and cat to install so might as well -
I had a cat plugging issue (or running super rich?) before I took her off the road so should I just order new downstream O2 sensor, no? Brand suggestions? (I know not Bosch - -lol)
Any special start-up procedure or considerations given she hasn't been started or had a battery for year?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. It's great to be back in the Bonneville saddle so to speak. Can't wait to hear her growl and whine again!

I'd change the plugs, and while the plug is out spray a little penetrant in the cylinder to loosen any rust that may have formed. I'd definitely replace the front O2 with a Denso or AC Delco/Delphi.

My '93 SSEi sat out back in the woods for almost a year, I just charged the battery and changed the oil then fired it up and never had any issues.

WOW!!!!! Great to have you back Mark! Glad to see your gonna be back on the road again with that great looking Bonneville! I'd definitely pull the plugs and spray a very small amount of light oil motor oil into the cylinders before trying to fire it up. You could even just put in a few drops and turn it over by hand with a wrench/socket if there is enough room on the crankshaft pulley bolt. - BC

+1 on the penetrating fluid in the cylinders (PB Blaster is my weapon of choice). There isn't a spot where the engine can stop and have all the valves closed, so there will be some oxydation/rust in one of the cylinders.
+1 make sure the engine can turn with a socket on the HB bolt before trying to fire it up - because the starter motor may have an issue that get's incorrectly diagnosed as a siezed crank.
The only thing I would add is to prime the fuel pump (key to on for 10 seconds, key off for 10 seconds, repeat 3 times with a fuel pressure gauge) to verify it's building up pressure and to decrease the amount of time you have to crank the engine to get it to start.
