So.. I just bought some Halo Lights/ Angel Eyes for my headlights. I wanted to wire them into my fog lights so they could be turned on independently from the headlights. How would I go about doing this? Can anyone help?

Splice them in to the wires for the foglights. Be sure to seal your connections up really well to prevent corrosion.

Wire the angel eye portion to your parking lights. That's what most people prefer.

I'll move your topic to the proper section for you.

If you wire them to the fog lights, when you turn on your high beams, the halo/angel eyes will go off. Wire them to the parking lights and they will stay on until you turn off your lights. - BC

Alright, thanks for the responses. The reason the fog light option made sense to me was that I didnt mind if the were turned off if the high beams were on, because they wouldn't really be visible around the bright headlights anyway. Then again, the parking light idea does make sense. Anyone here pretty good at wiring and point me in the right direction on how to do it? Im not much of an electrician

Not me, but if you don't purchase and use the "weather 'proof'" connectors, fill the ordinary ones full of di-electric grease before you use them to keep the moisture out. Hope someone else is more help than me. JMHO - BC

If you're not comfortable doing a simple splice, I really wouldn't do this. Are you comfortable pulling your headlights apart, figuring out a mounting solution and then cutting holes for the wires?

Running fogs (driving lights in our case) with high beams has an advantage. The driving lights cast light on the areas nearer and to the sides that the high beams miss when they project the light farther down the road.

I've bypassed both my cars so the fogs will stay on with the highs.

I haven't yet, 00+ it requires adding a relay along with jumping a couple relays. I really aught to, though.

In certain states it illegal to have more than 4 forward lamps on(not including marker lights), just FYI.

I don't know about other Bonnevilles, but our '92 only has 2 lamps on at a time, unless you have the fogs on with the low beams, then it's 4. Hi beams only have 2 lamps on, fogs and low beams are off. - BC

00+ would have all 6 on, they keep the lows on with the highs, if you were to wire it in so the fogs stay on. However, unless you're an idiot and keep your fogs on when cars approach, the odds of actually getting caught are slim. There's also the possibility of wiring in a switch so that way you can control it, so if you were to get pulled over for it, you could play innocent with the flip of a switch. "I'm sorry officer, maybe you need another cup of coffee?"
