yes i did, there are two sensors, one for the guage reading and the other is for the computer to adjust fuel. The one im refering to is kind of just below the throttle body IIRC. And other than having starting problems it ran great.

Another simple test you can do is unplug the ECT when it is having problems starting, it controls the fuel delivery for given engine temps. update: I managed to find a pinout of the pcm and located the purple signal wire. The resistance is also low at 6 ohms so im really confused now. another no go with the ether, injectors are all 12ohms. i was thinking maybe cam sensor or skipped a tooth on the timing chain, but it still turns over like normal i don't know im just gettin frustrated.

I'll try that but i should also add that i checked for injector pulse on cyl #3 via the 194 bulb method and it was lighting fine, does that change anything?

One crapped injector will shut down the system. If you find a bad reading on one, unplug it and it will run...on 5 cylinders if necessary ...

A friend of mine had a similar problem on a different car. ended up being the crank sensor. i dont know if there is a way to test it but it might be somthing to look into.
