Re: hard start warm, not the FPR.. Still not fixed :(
Not sure if this thread is still active, but if you haven't figured out what is causing the problem I have another suggestion... I never thought of it earlier but I also had a problem like this on my Buick lesabre and that one ended up being a faulty MAF sensor, its something that can be tested with ...

Re: 99 lesabre oxygen sensor wiring problems
Hey guys again I appreciate anyone who took the time to read my long a$$ post, I believe i have figured out the problem. I decided to plug my old o2 sensor back into the harness and low and behold, cold readings were normal at 0.00 volts. So I swaped the sensors out and car runs ok again, not great ...

Heres a link to a similar problem i told you about.

Yes that is the sensor i was refering to, next time you have the problem just unplug it and try to start the engine, if it still doesn't fire then you need to check for fuel and ...

Re: Rear strut replacement
So long as their not air struts, they're fairley straight forward  One recomendation i can make would be to take a scribe or chalk and mark where the old struts align on the Hub assembly before you loosen the two bolts, that way you can get it close to the original position. And other than an ...

Re: hard start warm, not the FPR.. Still not fixed :(
yes i did, there are two sensors, one for the guage reading and the other is for the computer to adjust fuel. The one im refering to is kind of just below the throttle body IIRC. And other than having starting problems it ran great.

Re: hard start warm, not the FPR.. Still not fixed :(
Another simple test you can do is unplug the ECT when it is having problems starting, it controls the fuel delivery for given engine temps. I had a similar problem but mine would do it when it was cold. I believe another member had the same problem your experiencing when warm and his solution also ...

Re: 99 lesabre oxygen sensor wiring problems
update: I managed to find a pinout of the pcm and located the purple signal wire. The resistance is also low at 6 ohms so im really confused now. I let the engine warm up again and checked the volatge of the signal wires at the pcm and it read 3.5 volts. why would i be getting such voltage in the ...

How do i do that just use a common ground and test each wire with my positive lead?

Re: need help fast wont start
I checked the spark at the plug, just one. And i just pressed the shrader valve for fuel pressure. but i pulled the three front plugs and they were all fuel soaked so i changed all the plugs and tried ether again, nothing didn't even fire.
How was the spark checked? At the plugs or coils. All of ...

Re: need help fast wont start
I'll try that but i should also add that i checked for injector pulse on cyl #3 via the 194 bulb method and it was lighting fine, does that change anything?
One crapped injector will shut down the system. If you find a bad reading on one, unplug it and it will run...on 5 cylinders if necessary ...

Re: need help fast wont start

I think my plugs are fouled now causing it not to fire at all. its to dark now to check the resistance on the injectors, although i don't see it completely stalling from one or even two injectors . i wont be able to check anything until after 3 tomorrow but i am ...

A friend of mine had a similar problem on a different car. ended up being the crank sensor. i dont know if there is a way to test it but it might be somthing to look into.
