Re: 2002 Grand Prix crank balance gone wrong? (pics inside)
Thats great info Matt and I was hoping you would chime in. He had all 6 pistons, rods, rings, bearings, bolts,, flexplate and HB. Thats interesting that they are not zero balanced from the factory also. By drilling the really thin weights, has that weakened anything?

2002 Grand Prix crank balance gone wrong? (pics inside)
We are in the midst of rebuilding the engine for my son's 02 Grand Prix. Block required a .020 overbore, so he bought some Federal Mogul pistons. The crank was L67, rods are L32. We thought it wise to balance it along with all the other work. Machinist is a one man shop and semi-retired so he took ...

A month old from WalMart. In a hurry and didnt look at brand...probably Anco. Never gotten good life from wiper blades here. They go for months baking in the summer sun with almost no use. Then winter comes...

Did 92-99 SSEi have a liner on underside of the trunk?
Our 99 SSE is just bare metal I think, thought about fabbing up a carpet for it, then wondered if I could get one already shaped?
Oops. its an SLE. I shouldnt post when I am tired lol. But its bare metal.

Re: New tires. Hankook h724
Took it on the highway briefly last night with my 2 yr old grandson. Shoulda done this when we got the car a few years ago. I can hear him jabbering at me now  Steering wheel doesn't shake anymore and got a wheel hub coming to take care of the small hum that's left. Old tires were Sears ...

New tires. Hankook h724
Our trusted tire shop sold us Hankook H724s. Money was a bit tight, told him we wanted all season with a quiet ride. This was his suggestion. Anyone have experience with these? So far so good, but time will tell I guess. He said that Generals were natl backorder when I asked for Altimax

Nothing like a small road trip to shake out the flaws...
About a 270 mile trip, in the 99 SLE to take my wife to the Dr today, then to another town picking up our grandson. It doesnt see much road duty as a rule. Got a wheel bearing humming, slight shake/shimmy and then the transmission went thru a bad mood after the highway driving with rough shifting ...

Re: 2005 Town & Country Limited
Congrats. And nice van. Having driven a company (later purchased for myself) 2007 Grand Caravan from 9 miles till 159k miles, I loved mine for what it was. In that timeframe, it needed brakes twice in front, once in rear, a new battery, 3 sets of tires and AC blend servo. Stow and Go rocks.
I sure ...

Very nice! I think you will find the interior clock shares the fuse with the cig lighter/power outlet. Its powered from the car. What would always happen in the family 78 LEsabre, coins would fall into the socket, blow the fuse and take out the clock and dome lights also.
Glad you arent trashing it!

You will know you have arrived, when she opens the garage door for some wrenching and you join her because you want to, not because youre worried she will hurt herself or the car. WTG!
