New tires. Hankook h724
Our trusted tire shop sold us Hankook H724s. Money was a bit tight, told him we wanted all season with a quiet ride. This was his suggestion. Anyone have experience with these? So far so good, but time will tell I guess. He said that Generals were natl backorder when I asked for Altimax

The H724 has been around for a bit and has an awesome reputation. Everyone seems to be making there own on that curved tread design and those are getting some good reviews too.
Altimax rt43, Dunlop sig2, Cooper cs4's to name a few. I like the looks of the Dunlop myself, seems like it would handle snow very well.

I have the big brother H727. They were good tires at first. But once they got to half tread they started getting noisy. And poor in the snow/wet once they start wearing.
Mine were 100k rated. And I've got probably close to 45k on them so far. Hope to squeeze another 5k out of them. Probably 10k if I go all the way to the wear bars. But I really can't complain for the price. They are very reasonable priced and are a decent tire.

I have those on the 88 and have had no problems with them so far. Fairly quiet tires and good traction all year around.

Re: New tires. Hankook h724
Took it on the highway briefly last night with my 2 yr old grandson. Shoulda done this when we got the car a few years ago. I can hear him jabbering at me now
Steering wheel doesn't shake anymore and got a wheel hub coming to take care of the small hum that's left. Old tires were Sears Weatherbeaters that were on it when we got it, never worried about them because they had deep tread left, but were getting really dried out.
