Re: What to watch for when/if I upgrade
Oh, ok. Though there was something off or GM just did something weird for '02. I'm not "holding" myself down to it, but that's the one on the lot for sale. Up here in the inland northwest, they are kind of a rare bird to find. I just wanted some advise on what to watch for on the test drive and ...

What to watch for when/if I upgrade
Hi all, I am looking to trade in my 94 SSEi for an 02 SSEi. What should I look for so I don't end up investing as much as I paid for the car in a six month time frame again. Thank you all.

Re: S/C pulley replacement?
I will try that WD-40 trick. I will let you know what happens. Is there already a thread that explains how to check the supercharger oil? Just noticed today that the boost needle flutters about a 1/4 inch when I'm stopped. Is that normal?

Re: S/C pulley replacement?
Not really a squeal, but a squeak-squeak-squeak, until it's warmed up. then you can't hear it any more.

S/C pulley replacement?
Is it possible to replace just the pulley on the supercharger on my 94 SSEi? I haven't noticed any other rattles, clank, clunks, or anything but a squeaking from one of the pulleys (I hope) until the car runs for a little, then it disappears. I have replaced the tensioner pulley, but the whole ...

Temp gauge doesn't work
Like the title says, my temp gauge doesn't work. It will move with the rest of the gauges at start-up, but doesn't read after that. I replaced the coolant temp sensor, now what?

Intermittent heat and blinking temperature
Still finding all kinds of bugs in my Bonnie. Now I have heat from time to time (when she feels generous) and the temp on the display blinks on and off for a minute or two. When she does give heat, it's awesome. But it getting less and less common for me to get it. What could it be and how do I fix ...

Re: Front hub sensors
It's the only things left that could be making my car do the hard brake pedal and buzz from the engine bay somewhere, plus it will "bog" from time to time and not go above 2000-2100 RPM's. I have replaced all 4 solenoids in the transmission, replaced PCM/ECM, replaced ignition control module, two ...

Front hub sensors
What sensor(s) are in the front hubs? I've heard that there are vehicle speed sensors AND abs sensors? Is this true? If the sensor(s) start to fail will it throw a code or turn on a light?

Re: Multi-function switch (TCC/ABS switch) on brake pedal?
Sorry for the delay in responding, when I press the brake from time to time and try to get back on it, it seems as if the torque converter clutch is still on. Also, there will be a "buzz" from under the hood and my brake pedal is VERY stiff. When I tap the brake again, it seems to fix itself for a ...

Multi-function switch (TCC/ABS switch) on brake pedal?
Trying to find a multi-function switch thats listed in my Chilton's. It's displayed as a tcc/abs switch, but I cant find it and without the part number off of it, i can't get any info from the dealership on it (They said it was on the brake pedal itself, but all I saw was the brake light switch ...

Re: Hard vibration when turning right.
i had the same problem for a while too, turned out to be a bad lower passenger ball joint. Replaced and 90% went away, the rest is due to a possibly bad wheel hub/bearing.

Re: p0321, p0705, p0740, and p1361=bad PCM?????
The rpm's i stated were wrong, it wont go above 2000 rpm, not 500-700. The PCM was a reman from Autozone. There are no lights (ses, abs, etc.) coming on , nor anything on the driver info center. I have been told that the solenoids in the tranny have had several issues, but i am tired of throwing ...

Re: p0321, p0705, p0740, and p1361=bad PCM?????
while driving in town (30-40 mph) when i press the brake to slow down for someone turning or whatever in front of me and go to get back on it (not from a complete stop, but still rolling between 20-30 mph) it shutters, wont go above about 500-700 rpm and sometimes will develop a "hard" brake pedal ...

Re: p0321, p0705, p0740, and p1361=bad PCM?????
So I finally changed the pcm and the issue is still present. I still have the p1361 and p0321 showing, but the other codes are gone. The tranny place said that the solenoids and switches for the tcc are all working fine, but it seems as if the problem is coming from my ignition control module. I ...
