What sensor(s) are in the front hubs? I've heard that there are vehicle speed sensors AND abs sensors? Is this true? If the sensor(s) start to fail will it throw a code or turn on a light?

Re: Front hub sensors
The built-in wheel speed sensors are used by the ABS. If one is failing, the ABS and traction control lights will turn on.

Re: Front hub sensors
It's an intermittent issue, the lights will come on at start-up, but turn off shortly thereafter. but no light when it happens.

Re: Front hub sensors
The wheel speed sensors are what relay info to your ABS and Traction Control. The lights coming on says that the system is running a self-test, and when the light shuts off that means the self-test is passed. That is why sometimes the lights will flash for a few seconds after startup. That they shut off tells you that they're doing their job. Also, the sensors aren't replaceable separately. You have to replace the entire hub assembly.

Re: Front hub sensors
It's the only things left that could be making my car do the hard brake pedal and buzz from the engine bay somewhere, plus it will "bog" from time to time and not go above 2000-2100 RPM's. I have replaced all 4 solenoids in the transmission, replaced PCM/ECM, replaced ignition control module, two transmission power flushes within 4500 mile of each other, full tune up, replaced the front struts and had it aligned, replaced supercharger tensioner pulley, replaced coolant temp sensor, and replace pcv valve. I dont know what else it could be except the sensors in the hubs. The lights on the dash stay on for different amounts of time dang near every time i start the car.
