More Problems, high idle.
If the door issue wasn't enough now the car won't idle down.
Story:
Car died at work because I left it on 'RUN' somehow with the engine off.
We jumped the car and when It turned over a gave it some pedal. All seemed fine and then I immediately noticed that the car would be at like 1500 in Drive ...

Yeah I did. I'm not in anyway saying his services are bad. Its just that I want/need to get this done before I go away to school because I won't really be able to pull the door panel off in a campus parking lot haha

Re: Where to get door module?
Okay well Bonnevilles Unlimited doesn't seem to be helping. Emailed and messaged on the website last week and never got a response. I'll have to look somewhere else.
Does anyone have a picture of what the DDSA looks like? I can't remember and I don't want to take the door panel off again until I ...

Re: Where to get door module?
The other windows are fine. The only things that do not work are the 4 window switches, the door lock/unlock button, the mirror controls, and the memory buttons. Also the window lock button is flashing, but I haven't tested it, I assume it wont work either.

Where to get door module?
So my driverside door module crapped out I'm pretty sure. Left window open during the rain at work because I was offsite and none of the controls respond now. I had to pull the door panel off and manually power my window up.
I'm having a hard time finding a source for a new module. Any thoughts ...

Just had this problem fixed on my GXP. It was a vacuum leak that you could only see from underneath. It could also be post-MAF or be the MAF itself.

Re: Glue for shifter handle metal trim piece.
To be honest, it doesn't look like there is hardly any glue on here. I'll have to double check the handle, but I can't imagine it all stayed on the handle and almost none came with the trim. Weird, maybe the factory just didn't put enough down and this cold weather finally did what little glue there ...

Glue for shifter handle metal trim piece.
So I let my dad drive the GXP and he comes home and goes "I broke your shifter thing" and hands me the metal trim piece. Apparently the glue just gave up, any suggestions for an adhesive to use to put it back on?

Your SES light is on. Did you get the code pulled? If not go to a local autoparts store like Advanced or Autozone. You can ask to pull the code and they'll do it for free.
Post the code here, it'll probable give us some insight on whats happening.

I was just curious about what you all thought about this product. I use it in all of my engines. I put it in my Phoenix (5.0L 305) and my old Farmall. In fact I believe its what stopped the smoking in that 65+ year old Farmall 4cyl.
I just never thought about putting it in newer engines like the N ...

Re: Coolant reservoir tank level
I believe the COLD line is on the clear part of the tank. If you follow the raised plastic ridge that goes down the curved side of the tank. It should stop at a certain level on the side. I remember putting my finger on it and looking into the tank through the cap to see my fingers shadow as a guide ...

Low profile ramps?
Does anybody know of a good set of retail brand (or sold) ramps that would work with the stock GXP height? I have a set that is about an inch too tall and doesn't clear the front bumper. I like to use them to get a look under the engine area without having to go through the hassle of using a jack ...

Just contact Bosch. That's what I did. I don't know whether or not it being a clone will matter. I think they asked for my serial number on the unit and then it was just a matter of them sending me the new VCI and me sending back the old defective one.
I thought about that, but if its not a legit ...

Re: The $305 Tech2 clone review
I got a 60% refund on mine, didn't ship it back. So its still in the trunk of my car. I could try getting a cloned VCI, but i'll wait until the holidays are over and my wallet recovers

Re: Continental PureContacts mounted today.....
Sidewall stiffness has to do with pressure as well. Now this is an extreme example, but this topic reminds me of the time I once ran my tractor without only about 5psi in the tire and the recommended is like 20psi. The stiffness of the tire due to the thickness of the sidewall kept it from looking ...
