I was just curious about what you all thought about this product. I use it in all of my engines. I put it in my Phoenix (5.0L 305) and my old Farmall. In fact I believe its what stopped the smoking in that 65+ year old Farmall 4cyl.
I just never thought about putting it in newer engines like the N* and its also the first OHC configuration I've ever driven (Though I'm not sure that matters all too much). Would the 20% system capacity of LOS do any harm to my 170,xxx N*?
I normally just dump 8qts of Valvoline 5w-30in and throw on an ACDelco PF61 and call it a day.

I used it in my 92 Gtp but only in warmer months............ keep bottle outside in winter and you will see why I don't run with it in winter
It is extremely thick when cold and I believe it would hinder proper cold start oil circulation. It was very important in the LQ1 cause there are 4 cams on top.

Agreed, oil will have everything you need and substituting for a quart of oil with the stabilizer may prove more harmful as you're now robbing the engine of the needed additive packages that oils come with, and that GM has designed the engine to run with, dependent on with the capacity in the sump. I have used it in the past without issue also. One complaint I have always heard about Lucas oil stabilizer was that it tended to "foam" at higher temps and RPM, which is something you DON'T want, and part of the additive's that the oil itself has. Now you're down a quart of oil and anti-foaming additive... See where I'm going?
The main point I would like to make (and I'm guilty of just saying it myself), is that we all say "I've used it without issue or problem..." or something along those lines. You don't know exactly what is/isn't going on inside your engine. Unless you're a bearing surface or cylinder wall. The only way to see if it is doing any bit of good (or bad) is a chemical decomp (or oil analysis) after running it through a cycle, and then comparing it to the same test done without it, using just the oil.
