More Problems, high idle.

Post by havoc1482 »

If the door issue wasn't enough now the car won't idle down.

Story:

Car died at work because I left it on 'RUN' somehow with the engine off.

We jumped the car and when It turned over a gave it some pedal. All seemed fine and then I immediately noticed that the car would be at like 1500 in Drive. I get home and put in in park and its revs up and sits at like 2500. I turned it off and turned the car back on and it sat fine at idle and then started to pick up a little again. I also noticed my temp gauge go very slightly over the 200F mark.

I'm at wits ends with this car.

Headliner is coming off, Driver side door switch assembly is shot, water is finding its way to the passenger side floor, and now this. It all happened in the matter of one week. I should have never replaced my 07 GP :helpsmilie: My avatar is literally me right now lol

Maybe it is a vacuum leak? Any obvious things look misplaced under the hood?

Potentially. I was throwing the Bank 1/2 lean codes last week, but it has since gone away.

The engine does have a IAC valve that controls idle speed.
