Re: I bought the only Pontiac on the lot :(

I'm planning on getting some leather seats for it soon because this cloth does not cut it for UBER.

I bought the only Pontiac on the lot :(

My 94 Lesabre quit shifting into overdrive so I went to a used car lot and bought the cheapest 2008 car I could find that qualified for uber. A silver Pontiac g6 gt sedan. It's not the worst car but I wish it was better equipped than its stable mates the Malibu and the aura. Worst part is the 4t45e ...

I'm gonna need a new forum, new to me a6 2.8 quattro avant

I just picked up a 2001 Audi a6 2.8 quattro avant. I needed a wagon because I was tired of the 72lbs lab getting his mud paws on my leather seats. I wanted a Buick wagon, but there are no modern ones made. I saw the add for the Audi and 2 hours later I was the proud owner of this German beauty. I am ...

94 lesabre forum

Is this the most largest forum available in regards to performance and maintenance for my 94 Buick lesabre? Are there other websites I should be looking into as well?

Re: aC DELETE

I purchased a used pump from pick a part for $45 plus 2 $12 cans of freon and a $5 o-ring kit. Best $75 ever spent. My choice would be to keep a/c if you plan to keep the car.

Re: Is my Bonneville ready to go?

I have bought all my alternators for all my cars from orielys with life time warranties for about $100 a piece, I have replaced all of them twice now. However the replacements have all been free with Warranty and like others here have said, replacing an alternator on this car is a basic job that ...

car for fiancé

I am tired of working on my fiancés mercery sable and want to get her something reliable for the family. I found a 2000 Bonneville ssei with 126k for 5.4k at a dealership. Are these reliable cars? I am fairly mechanically inclined. I just don't want to spend a lot on repairs to her car (save that ...

Re: started my wbody front suspention swap

Well not necessarily a w body thing, but while i was at pick n pull looking for a ac compressor, I looked at the RPO codes on the 95 88 lss I was taking the compressor from and it had f41. I looked at the sway bars and they were HUGE. So today I learned how to install sway bars, I differed from the ...

Re: Engine shut down

My 94 lesabre did the same thing and it was the crank shaft position sensor. Schucks will let you use a scan tool for free to let you know For sure what the problem is.

Re: siphoning gas

Yep, already did, I went with a Bosch pump because I have had good luck with other Bosch parts on my other cars. I used my knees as a tank Jack, fun hour getting the stupid tank in with no help Lol. But it runs good now :) except for the a/c clutch that just came apart. My Volkswagen has gotten a ...

Re: siphoning gas

Solved. I disconnected the filler hose at the bottom, inserted a hose a few feet in and proceeded to use a siphon pump. By the way, there is a very easy way to run the pump non stop without the key on. There is a little green single unplugged wire connector behind the battery. If you jumper it to ...

Re: siphoning gas

So you are saying there is no restrictor strainer and I need to just shove it in further, the hose I was using was flexible and I think it was bunching up in there.

siphoning gas

I have a bad fuel pump and need to drop my tank in my 94 lesabre, that has a full tank of gas. I tried siphoning with a hose through the filler but only sucked fumes. Any ideas, the FSM only says to siphon the gas, but doesn't explain how.

Re: started my wbody front suspention swap

Well it has been brought to my attention that the fbody brakes won't fit under my 15" wheels, so I am now in search of some 17"s. Time to sell some projects to get this project coming along quicker :)

Re: Time for an L67 swap???

I'm going to do a similar swap in my 94 lesabre to make a mild sleeper. I have read it being done on here a few times, but after looking at my factory service manual it looks like a whole bunch of electrics and wires are specific to either engine. Now this could just be the case for the l36 vs l67 ...

Re: body 12" brakes under 15" wheel?

So I just read through the guide again. Am I correct that I can do the strut and spring upgrade and keep my stock knuckle until I can afford the wheels and tires I want? My struts are currently blown so my girl has agreed to let me splurge enough to upgrade them from stock, but not buy a new wheel ...

Re: body 12" brakes under 15" wheel?

But the suspension parts are, so if I can upgrade those first and the brakes and wheels later then I don't have to put the whole project off for like a year.
