You need an A/C delete pulley. I'm almost certain you can't just use a shorter belt. Not sure if anybody else makes or sells the pulley bracket, but you can get one from ZZP performance, here's a link.

It's the same price at most part stores as well, more than likely in stock too.

I purchased a used pump from pick a part for $45 plus 2 $12 cans of freon and a $5 o-ring kit. Best $75 ever spent. My choice would be to keep a/c if you plan to keep the car.
