My oil pressure gauge just recently started acting up. When I give it full gas, the needle tops out all the way to the 120 mark. When I lay off the gas, it goes back to around 40 but still floats around a bit. Any ideas to fix this?

Sounds like the oil pressure sending unit.

I actually got a new sending unit from Advance for like $15, my bro is the store manager so I get a good discount, but that fixed my gauge. Should of updated this post when I fixed it

I'd say if you have the chance...go with a Delco sending unit only...others are quirky....

I agree 100%. Off-brands may work at first, but fail early. Some off-brands don't work right out of the box.

Mine has been fine for over a year. It was from Advance, don't remember the brand, wasn't Delco.

Mine is working great still. I guess we'll see overtime. It was the one that was like $25-$30 IIRC but I got it around $15 after my bro's discount.
