So when my grandpa ordered the Bonne, he got the bench seat in the front, and now its time for it to go. I want to put a 2000+ style seat up front that are heated and I want to get the center console with the shifter in it. With the center console I plan to take the shifter out and turn that space into a docking station for my phone and mount my gps on it as well and some cup holders. Will the 2000+ style seat fit in a 97 se?
Also for the rear seats, I want to change them to ones that can fold down. does anyone know what style will fit? I also saw 2003ssei's rear console that he put in and I'm open to ideas like that and putting heated seats in the rear as well.
Will the rear seat from a 2000+ bonne fit in mine? any suggestions as well?

This sounds like a fairly large undertaking. I would try to practice this out on some other vehicle first, unless you have experience with this firsthand. An interior is a pretty easy thing to ruin by doing the little things wrong.

Front seats should bolt up but would require wiring for full power and heaters. You could get the center console out of any 92-99 that should bolt right in. The rear seats will not fit without modification i believe, and any fold down seats would have to be custom anyway. FYI i have 97 SSE bucket seats in my 88 and they are more comfortable than my 2000's seats. :poke:

Highly doubt 00+ seats will fit, at the very least not a bolt-in operation. They have a very weird design, very specific to that car. Seating position would be another big issue, along with the wiring.

The rear seats can't fold. There is structural bracing right behind them, and you can't go and cut that out. It's part of the frame of the car.

I agree, this will in no way be an easy task. The way the front seats bolt down would not bolt up to the older cars at all, it would require some custom fab work for the seat brackets, the mounting points, or both. Even then width might be an issue.

You can still put in seats from any 92-99 though, to get rid of the bench.

I agree. You're way better off finding some other 92-99 seats and console and adding aftermarket heaters. Put you way ahead in the long run.

I've done seat swaps in other cars before so that isnt a biggy for me and neither is the wiring. Drilling and getting spacers is nothing new, the only one I need to wire would be the passenger seat. But I might just leave that seat and get a heated seat kit for it and replace the drivers seat and get the console.

I'd be curious to see this play out, however I among almost anyone else that has sat in both '92-'99 and '00+ seats will tell you the '92-'99 are much more comfortable and supportive. I'd be more inclined to want to put some '92-'99 AL7's into an '00+ Bonnie.

Now say I wanna do this with the cloth interior I have, do you think the cover on my seats now would fit on those seats?
