I see the heat shield that's over the coolant temp sensor that is right below the tsat housing is falling apart...looks like plastic loom with heat tape over it...can you buy these new?? Or do I not even need it ?

Hi, my 2000 has no cover on cool temp sender so I would just leave it. there is a spark plug wire plastic shield on the wire though
You can just put that on and you should be good butt keep an eye on it
