After reading a lot on hear about replacing the motor mounts, I think my Bonneville needs it replaced. However, I am not mechanically inclined, and I do not even know where the motor mount is.

I'm interested in getting all the supplies for a boat roller mount and to have someone else replace it. But I don't know where to start. Does anybody know a list of supplies? Like what sized boat roller, and the amount of bolts, nuts, washers, etc and their sizes.

I also need to replace my throttle positioning sensor. How easy is that to replace? I'm thinking about buying one online for about $30-40, but I wouldn't know what to do with it.

Should I just buy the TPS and all of the supplies for the boat roller mount and bring them to a mechanic along with my car?

Even with no mechanical ability, you could swap the TPS. It's right on the throttle body, held on by a couple of screws and it's electronic connector.

This is the boat roller a member on here used:

This what the alternative option hockey puck mount looks like, to give you an idea of where it is.

Doing the mount requires a jack and a good deal of strength. Someone else will chime in with more specific items and size specs for the bolts and washers. I unfortunately, do not remember them.

Thanks for the information on the TPS. Seems like I won't need any help with that.

For the mount, it looks like I'm going to need someone to do it for me. I also wonder if I can get a boat roller with different specs than that one.

If anyone has a complete supply list for the boat roller mount, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also, would it be weird if I brought the supplies to a mechanic to have them fix it? And If I did, how much could I expect them to charge me for the labor?

Hoping to avoid going to a mechanic, but I'm just curious.
