Is there anyway to tell if the lower intake gasket has been replaced other then tear it down and looking?

IF you look on the driver's side of the engine between the head and the LIM there should be a corner of the LIM gasket sticking out. If it's black plastic, it's more than likely original, or replaced with the same crap that fails. If it's gray aluminum, it has been replaced properly.
