I'm leaking coolant from the upper end of my engine again, so once the weather improves, I'm tearing into it to find the cause and fix it. While the top end is off, I was planning to get my supercharger ported, and then install the N* TB I got from Pat.

I've tried looking for some info, but haven't found everything I'm looking for, so I thought I'd ask. So, I assume I'm going to need the the adapter plate, but what else? Do I need the throttle cable adapter from ZZP as well? Also, I have the Intense FWI kit, and I was wondering if that will fit over the N* TB? I could always probably go out and test that myself one of these days.

I just don't know a whole lot about this swap, and maybe those that have done it could light my way. I also do know that I need the get the PCM tuned for the LQ4 MAF. That's on the list.

LOTS of Mods
ok to do it you will need:

ZZP's Gen 3 to N* adapter
a silicone coupler to go from the N* to the LQ4
A MAF adapter harness
A TB adapter harness
you MAY need a silicone coupler from the LQ4 to the Intense FWI (I don't remember)

and a tune for the LQ4. The car wont run with out the correct files for the MAF

Thanks for the info, Pat!

Off the top of your head, you wouldn't happen to know the coupler size needed for the TB to LQ4, would ya? If not, I can probably measure it tomorrow.

Also, I want to ask, when it comes to a TB gasket, what exactly do I use? I wouldn't think a stock L67 gasket would have a big enough opening.

I know we discussed you possibly giving my PCM a custom tune (to get rid of the knock), but I'd be okay running my stock TB on the ported S/C until I could get to your place to swap the N* TB and get it tuned, right?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to get this right the first time.

I've always heard a n* is a bit overkill unless you're running a few mod than that, but who knows.

You can get all the couplers you'll need at www.siliconeintakes.com . I can't recall exactly which sizes you'll need but one will be really tight and one will be really loose IIRC.

It probably is overkill, but I did hear throttle response is improved, plus down the road when I get some of the other mods I want done, I'll already have it in place.

I was looking at that website earlier, but still not sure on size. If I can get a chance tonight, I might measure, but I've been really busy these past few evenings, so I keep forgetting about it.

No I don't know the coupler size, and the car is still sleeping for the winter

you will use a L67 Gasket on between the Blower and the adapter. You don't need a gasket between the adapter and the N* because its a rubber Gasket built in to the TB

Yes you can run the Stock setup with no problems until it gets tuned

Again, thanks for the info, Pat!

I pretty much have the info that I need. I can worry about the coupler size later, as that's not a huge concern for me right now.

Quick question. With the Gen 3 to n* adapter plate, is there any lip in between the Gen 3 and the adapter plate? If so, I assume that is the whole point of porting the inlet?
