I have desided to step up to a N* TB, i am ordering a kit from ZZP (yes i know i could peace it together cheaper). I ordered it with out the MAF, and ordered the SLP 85mm MAF from intense. I have intense up dating my tune.

No what do I need to know about this mod? I plan on removing the EGR and PCV, do to the intercooler. Are there an small parts i need? Any tricks to getting this to work or look right.

Yes. Cancel both your orders.

And piece it together. You'll have nothing but trouble. Throw that maf in the garbage or send it back to Intense, stock ls6 all the way.

Get 2000-04 N* tb w/ cable bracket & ls6 maf in junkyard...same thing zzp does
ebay adapter plate
zzp wire harnesses

I know how much I saved and well worth it.

You need to make a functional pcv system, breathers are for junk builds; run a catch can setup. Cap off the nipple on the backside of the gen v (the fresh air side of factory pcv) run a line from N* to fc, on rear vc add a pcv valve and catch can run line back into a vacuum source after tb blade. (Mine just runs factory pcv valve in stock location).

Thanks, but i want new. I also want to keep the oil and gasses off the intercooler, that is why i an runing a valve cover breather.

Highly recommend searching things, just my opinion. This platforms been around for sometime.
The slp mafs are pre tuner era, when people maxed their maf and had nothing to turn to. They have a resistor in them..which makes them a pos to tune. Look at any GM forum. Its a stock ls6 maf with a .20 cent resistor having an overpriced tag attatched.

Could have had a rocking setup as I pm'd you with. You would have everything for less than what you paid for this maf (could have boughten 4 tb & 4 mafs if your worried about a failure), but to each there own.

GL tuning.

What core are you going to be running?
