Hey guys. Appreciate acceptance into this good group. I took the dive finally and picked up something I wanted for a while. 2001 Bonneville SLE. 161k for $$500. Body in very nice shape, not beat up at all. This will be my winter project. I as well am a auto tech. So I think I'm gonna post pics and videos of future mods and repair, as those things proved invaluable to me with every vehicle I've owned.
My planned mods so far are:
Power Stop caliper, pad and rotor upgrade
Replace all existing brake lines (one reason it was cheap)
Struts front and rear, not sure on brand yet
Dorman upper intake manifold replacement
Head gasket replacement
Plugs, wires, water pump
Verde V99 19x8.5 wheels
Audio system upgrades
There are more things I want to do. Of course stuff like steering components. And I already got it, "why do all that". Here's the thing, I've always wanted THIS car and the 3800 motor is bulletproof. This is no different than someone seeing a rusty dirty car in a barn and restoring it. This is THE car I've wanted. And I believe in transportation being reliable. So keep your eyes out for future stuff I hope to provide value.
