factory speakers

This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

factory speakers

Did the 2001 SLE model come with the bose speakers like the SSEI? The SSEI is a 2000 model (parts car).

Nevermind. Searched a little more and found my answer. Next question is, is there a noticeable improvement by swapping out the delco speakers for the bose or not worth the work? I assume it is a direct swap with very little work but from past experiences, I've learned things that seem easy usually aren't.

GM Installed an external Bose amp in the 2000-01 SSEi and an external Monsoon amp in the SSEi/GXP from 2002-05. I can't say for sure if the Bose speakers are impedance matched to work (as intended) with the amp built into the radio that is used with non-SSEi/GXP vehicles. The rear shelf speaker connectors are the same.

To the best of my knowledge, Bose speakers are 1 ohm. You shouldn't use them with a non Bose system.
A temporary fix does not exist. It becomes a solution until it needs to be fixed again.

This sounds very familiar.
