Need some help installing a RV camera->pioneer dvd 2000 SSEi

Hey if anyone can help me out really quick itd be much appreciated, ive got in a 2000 SSEi a pioneer AVH-X3600 and jbl 1200.1 amp and pair of Alpine Type R's. And just recently im installing a Esky Sky rearview camera, and i ran power and ground and plugged the yellow video plug into the rear of the dvd player but it still doesnt turn on...what or where am i supposed to hook up the purple rearview camera wire coming from back of stereo to? Im using a scosche gm07B wiring harness.

Without having looked at the manuals for your equipment, my first guess is that the purple wire needs to be connected to the backup lamp circuit so it knows when you're in reverse.

You need to consult the documentation for your stereo to find out for sure. Did you install the stereo, or someone else? I expect if you don't have the manuals, you can find them with your friend google.com.

I agree, the wire from the head unit needs to be connected to the car's reverse trigger. It is present in the ribbon. (At least it was on my 2003 SE.)

I am not familiar with your harness, but for my PAC harness, it was clearly marked in the wiring diagram.
