Going to have an issue with the grand prix transmission, it lacks the mounting holes for the rear drivers side mount. I think all you can use is the engine from that, don't know that the drive-by-wire can be used, don't think the axles are the same length, and I don't know about the PCM stuff on the '07.

A complete package that you want is the '97-'99 L67 from another Bonneville SSEi - Computer, axles, mounts and mount brackets, trans, engine.

A/C compressor and bracket needs to come from your car, or you can retrofit the donor A/C system, or use and A/C delete pulley.

There's more I think, but bottom line is you can't take the complete package from the '07 and simply swap it in. The PCM and security system and BCM are probably going to make that very difficult.

First thing to clarify, they stopped the GTP trim in 2005. In 2007 however you could get a GT that is supercharged. Other than the above mention of the trans issues, on the engine side you would have to get rid of the DBW altogether and get the Northstar throttle body with the genV adapter plate and all the other provisions that go with it.

Thanks .. il really dont remeber exacly wheres the engine came from but il mailed ed at morat so that will soon be clearifyed ,, but its a 3.8 supercharged engine L32 it migth are a GT but thats soon solved heres the vin 2007

vin# 2G2WR554271210093 and heres what ed says 2007 grand prix GT

in 04-05, the GTP is supercharged. in 06-08, the GT is supercharged.

why does i need the northstar TB ? since this car is untouched yet my wildest fantasy is "simply" (no *shoot*) get it out ot the donorcar with eds help and then put everything togheter again in my old bonnie chassie ,, according the security system il havent really checked it out but isent it some kind of vats system or is it a transponder key

why shoudent il use the dbw system ? im thiinking about using as mutch as possible from the stock GT ,, im i missing sometings here ?
