So i bought a kenwood and its just about ready to go in, but you clearly have to cut some plastics out in order to fit that
and the steering wheel control module.

If anyones already done this can you send a picture of the installation or how you cut the plastics and mounted everything

kind of stumped at this point because i dont want to take too much or too little off of the wrong places

rather keep it as conservative as possible

Cut away little by little until it fits and make sure you don't cut any wiring. That's the only thing to worry about.

Did you also get the module that produces warning chimes? This is also a function of the factory stereo so if you remove it you will no longer have them.

yeah i got the metra wiring interface and the steering wheel control module.

now i just have to somehow fit them all in there, guess ill have to use trial and error.

ill take pictures and upload for anyone doing it into the future.

If it helps, I tucked away my steering wheel control adapter in the space underneath the center stack and in front of the shifter if that makes sense. Basically, underneath the heated seat/TC buttons.

I used the cheap harness that doesn't retain chimes, and I have a single DIN radio. Not sure what you have, but I ended up having to cut away less than I thought.

I have a double din that I didn't cut any plastic to fit. I have both modules.... I just stuck them in the hole to the left side and moved the plug for the antenna and harness back. Its suuuuper tight thought and will take some fiddling
