Electrical Cluster f***
Electrical Cluster f***
Ok iv been scratching my head to the point I'm about to give up on my bonnie
. iv had the head gasket replaced( shaved heads etc), new spark plugs n wires, all new coil pacs along with new ignition module, fully charged battery and replaced main computer behind air box. and the *dang* car still want crank/turn over, nor do the computer read anything at all. place the code reader to inspection socket and nothing. someone told me it might be a grounding problem and one is behind the kick panel might be the problem. But i looked into it and its fine, i need help. ASAP.

Re: Electrical Cluster f***
It's a little more complex than that.
http://www.intense-racing.com/sec_relearn.shtml
It needs to be done when the PCM is replaced.

Re: Electrical Cluster f***
If nothing electrical works, have you tried things like checking/charging/replacing the battery, terminal connections, etc? Sounds like you've wasted a lot of money chasing unicorns. Did you replace the head gaskets trying to chase this problem? Because that's like building a car when you're stuck on an island. Not going to fix your predicament....

Re: Electrical Cluster f***
this problem sounds similar to mine im having on 99 park ave.minus the window part, no crank and no talking to the computer, every thing else works as it should tho. ive been told it could be the neutral safety switch inside the transmission. can you try to start in neutral? my car wont crank at all untill the little orange box is over the P in the cluster,

What happens when you turn the key to on? Does the car show any sort of life at all? Do the gauges sweep on the cluster, chimes when you have the key in and open the door, etc...
Does your code reader power up when you plug it in, or is there nothing at all (I'm assuming you have one that derives its power from the ALDL connector under the dash).
