Re: HOCKEY PUCK SUBFRAME BUSHING????
I'll find my sketches and attach them here, but it's not a simple bolt-in and you need a MIG/TIG welder. If your bushings are bad, you will likely need other welding done as well to repair the subframe. You may notice an increase in steering wheel feedback (road feel, vibrations, etc).
Basically you weld a ring to the subframe and a ring to the bottom washer that will act as the reaction surfaces for the hockey pucks. You would not re-use the upper washer, but you do need good bottom washers. The lower washer is held in place against side-to-side movement by clamping a tube between the washer and the frame. This tube needs to be cut to fit very well, there is not a lot of give to the hockey pucks.
The ring is simply a 3" exhuast coupler that you would need to cut on a chop saw to be about 7/16" tall.

Re: HOCKEY PUCK SUBFRAME BUSHING????

I'm also working on a write-up for using ES polyurethane body bushings from a '99 Suburban, the only fabrication required is grinding some holes. Once I figure everything out, waiting on some parts right now, I'll share that as well.
Another option is that dorman makes a drop in replacement bushing, comes with all pieces new.
Just a word of caution, if you choose to use the hockey pucks but don't weld in the rings and/or don't use the center structural tube, the subframe could shift and throw off the alignment every time you turn.
