2004 gxp gmos-09 no sound
Hey just bouht a 2004 gxp and swapping my stereo and tvs over from my sle. I bought the metra/axxess gm9s-09 to use. Everything works as far as power ect but I have no sound. Has anyone ran into this? I have double checked the wiring between the radio and harness and it all appears correct. I looked around and found the post about the pink wire meeding hooked up in some cases but It said the metra kit did not require this. Anyone else ran Into this

What kind of stereo did you swap over from your SLE; a factory stereo or an aftermarket?

If you have the monsoon system, I believe you have to cut one of the blue wires ?pin #6 going to the amp. There should be a note about this on the installation instructions in the package. If not look at this thread....http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 11842.html

Ya nothing mentioned in the instructions but that did the trick. I will have steering wheel controller in the next day or two. I Want all the stereo and tvs working perfect then will start the amps. Plan to cut the inner dash in the morning. Thanks for the help

Re: 2004 gxp gmos-09 no sound
Got my awsc-1 this week and had chance to try and get it I to the car. I have gmos09 and kenwood ddx418.
From my research I am using the pink wire from the awsc connecting it to the pink wires in the a1 and a2 locatiin on the dock and lock harness. I connected the 2 pink wires from the dnl to the pink wire from the gmos09 and the awsc1the pink wire. It goes thru the auto detect mode and turns green but it is not working. I just wanted to double check the wiring but could not find any info. Anyone done this

Side note got my oil pressure gauge and ect gauge motors repaired and the radio bulbs fixed so can swap it into my grandmas gxp. $25 well spent!!

Re: 2004 gxp gmos-09 no sound
The aftermarket steering wheel control modules use the resistance for each button (which is different for each button) to determine the button pressed and then send a signal to the head unit. The wires in the doc-loc come from the BCM which measures the resistance and uses the data bus to tell the factory radio which button is pressed. So you have to look at the wires going from the buttons to the BCM to measure the actual resistance. Look at the steering coulmn connector near the steering column under the dash on the left side. I think the blue wire is the one you need to hook up to.
