offset rear suspension?

Thought i might ask before i go measuring and checking wheels... does these cars (2001 SLE) set off to one side in the rear? I noticed my left rear tire was in farther than the right side. I have the slanted 5 star factory wheels, not original. maybe some had different offsets? Thanks!

No, it should be symmetrical, and all the bent-5 spoke wheels were the same.
Sounds like something is bent.

Check your toe links. They run from the lower control arm, up to the center of the car. This shouldn't bring the entire wheel in farther though, just tweak it. I would also look at your control arm mounting points.
It turns out my car had one that was bent and I didn't know it until I replaced it. Not sure if that will affect my alignment when it is done or not.
