98 buick century need help....

ohh ok i have a question i have a friend who has a 98 buick century i was driving on the freeway and the car had just cut off on me so pulled off to the side of the road the lights and instrument lights still came on tryed starting it up again but the engine would not turn over it made like a lil click noise so i was thinking it maybe could bee the alternator not sure thou anybody have any ideas...... :dontknow:

It sounds like it's possible that the alternator isn't charging the battery. Usually auto parts stores can test your starting/charging system for free, but make sure you have a fully charged battery for the test.

Clean the battery cables thoroughly, ensuring that you look under the plastic ends to clean there as well. It'a amazing how many electrical problems in our cars can be traced to corroded battery cables.
