AFTERMARKET rim ideas please

Post by dematka »

Ok, I need ideas...
I have a black 2001 SSEi - aftermarket rim ideas - I'm tired of polishing the stock rims and replacing the worlds most expensive and rare center caps from theft and falling off. I could have bought 2 sets of rims by now. Please give me some ideas, pics anything. Thanks for all the help...

Wheel lug pattern is 5x115, hub diameter is 70.1mm. Only you know what looks good to you, and what you can afford.

Good luck.

Although these cars tend to look better with wheels that are more meaty. Like with big spokes and not many of them. Factory 20 spokers are an exception, and some Bonne's can pull of crosslaces. But as Ed stated, to each his own! Good luck with the search.

He DOESNT want to polish, so chrome would not be an option, from what I understand.

And they dont have expensive center caps, or atleast as expensive as as swoopies.

I was inserting my opinion as far as the finish of those particular wheels go. I understand the OP wants something painted, but I think the aftermarket has better options in painted wheels than GXP's in this case, they would be easier to find than GXP's anyway. Plus it's likely you will pay the same amount of money for aftermarkets as a used set of GXP's. :btruestory: :)

Much thanks for everyone's 5 cents.... I have been trying to find a decent set of gxp rims - yes they aren't easy to find - for a decent price. I've been punching around on the tire rack/discount tire app but... nothing really pops out. Let me know if anyone close to OHIO has a set of GXP rims at a fair price! Thanks!

Madcarpenter, those GP rims are going in the wrong direction. 00+ SLE/SSEi's came with 17" wheels OEM...
